2nd Grade - 6th Grade

The choir meets weekly on Monday (Wednesday, if needed) from 2:15 until 3:00 pm. Selection of participants is open to boys and girls who love to sing from 2nd Grade- 6th Grade. Students are encouraged to sing in Church and for school functions. During School Mass on Fridays some take turns to serve as Cantors guiding the assembly to join in singing. Why become a part of St. Mary's choir? Our goal is to enjoy praising and serving the Lord while using our God- given gift, our voice. We hope to inspire our audience to sing along.

4th to 8th Grade - Tuesday and Thursday

St. Mary's Catholic School has a Steel Pan Band. Steel Pan was introduced into the school in September 2000 as an extra curricular activity. Members of the Steel Pan are from 4th to 8th grade. They practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 - 5:30 p.m. More frequent practices may arise as events to be played draw closer.

From September 2000 to now, the band has grown in strength and maturity and the number of members vary each year. Our students take great pride and pleasure in performing! We have performed at various functions within our school and have been invited to play at many functions outside of school. Each year, we perform at the Annual Pan Fest and we are looking forward  to participating in the upcoming "Three Kings Day Parade."

Requests are taken for performances. If you require our services, please feel free to give us a call at 773-0117, fax us at 773-1166, or email at stmary@hcccstx.org.[photogallery/photo26857/real.htm]
